Claim for Miscellaneous Expense Allowance Incident to Transfer of Station

An employee requested reconsideration of a settlement disallowing his claim for additional miscellaneous expenses incident to his transfer to a new duty station. The employee's claim for a miscellaneous expense allowance equal to 2 weeks' basic pay was disallowed in view of his failure to submit evidence of the actual expenses he incurred. The employee's argument that the regulation requiring actual receipts for payment of an allowance in excess of $200 was contrary to the intent of Congress was without merit.
