Request for Waiver of Collection of Overpayments of Retired Pay

A retired Air Force colonel requested reconsideration of a determination denying waiver of collection of overpayments. The overpayments resulted from failure to reduce retired pay as required while he was employed at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Denial of the waiver was sustained because of his obligation to report employment status and his failure to examine retired pay account statements.
