THE BILL OF LADING, UNDER BLOCK ENTITLED "TRANSIT RESHIPPING CERTIFICATE-INBOUND BILLING REFERENCE," SHOWS BILLS OF LADING TPS-6375 AND TPS 6778 (6378) DATED JULY 1954, FROM SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA, AND PREVIOUS TRANSIT REFERENCE TO BILLS OF LADING GS-32687 DATED MARCH 31, 1952, FROM SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, AND GS-110167 DATED APRIL 16, 1952, FROM SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. YOU CONTEND THAT CHARGES FOR THE INVOLVED SHIPMENT SHOULD BE COMPUTED BY APPLYING THE TRANSIT PRIVILEGE FROM THE ORIGINAL POINTS OF ORIGIN--- SAN FRANCISCO AND SAN DIEGO--- AND TREATING THE MOVEMENT FROM PAULINE TO TUSCALOOSA ON A LOCAL BASIS.
WE HAVE INSTRUCTED OUR TRANSPORTATION DIVISION TO RECOMPUTE THE CHARGES FOR THE INVOLVED SHIPMENT ON THE BASIS OF TRANSIT FROM SAN FRANCISCO AND SAN DIEGO TO PAULINE AND TO ALLOW YOUR CLAIM, IF OTHERWISE PROPER. YOU SHOULD RECEIVE NOTICE OF SETTLEMENT MAKING AN APPROPRIATE ALLOWANCE IN DUE COURSE.
