GAO reviewed the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation's (USRC) design and construction costs for chilled water and steam lines to Union Station in the District of Columbia to determine whether USRC accurately reported costs and contractor payments for reimbursement, according to a legislative mandate.
GAO found that: (1) USRC reported $3,227,000 for chilled water line costs, $902,241 for steam line costs, $190,844 for miscellaneous costs, and $4,320,085 for total design and construction costs; and (2) USRC complied with contract payment and cost-reporting procedures.
