Compilation of General Accounting Office Findings and Recommendations for Improving Government Operations and Action Taken By the Departments and Agencies, Fiscal Year 1959

This is a compilation of General Accounting Office findings and recommendations for improving Government operations and of actions taken by the departments and agencies of the Federal Government as a result of these recommendations. The compilation also includes recommendations which we believe will result in further improvement in Government operations if adopted by the departments and agencies. This compilation includes, for the most part, recommendations made in audit reports issued during the fiscal year 1959, recommendations resulting from audit work in that year, or actions taken in that year.
