Transportation--Automobiles--Military Personnel--Commercial Vessels--Reimbursement Basis

The Department of the Army requested from GAO an advance decision concerning the claim of an enlisted soldier for reimbursement for the cost of the personally procured shipment of his vehicle. The soldier in question was assigned to NATO/SHAPE Support Group in Belgium and was denied in his request to have his car shipped to him at government expense because he was not command sponsored.
