Request for Reconsideration and Withdrawl of Notice of Exception

The Acting Director of the National Park Service requested that GAO reconsider and withdraw the decision to issue Notices of Exception to certifying officers for the payments of printing and mailing greeting cards, citing the office's belief that all pertinent information relating to the subject was not made available to, or not known by, the auditors when the exceptions were made. The Acting Director stated that the payments in question were not made from appropriated funds, but from donated (trust) funds received from private sources.
