Classification of Civilian Position--Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works

The Administrator of the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works asked GAO to determine if positions within the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works were required to classify the positions of employees and fix compensation rates in accordance to the salary schedule contained in Executive Order 7092. The Administrator also inquired if these guidelines were applicable to the regular bureaus and offices of the Interior Department where employee salaries were paid from allotted emergency funds.
