The Comptroller General held a symposium on information and cultural exchange. During the session, the activities of the International Communication Agency were discussed, and among other things, the question was raised concerning whether the Smith-Mundt Act's prohibition on disseminating information domestically should be reconsidered. The Director, International Division, asked the General Counsel for its opinion on the matter.
