The General Accounting Office (GAO) Personnel Appeals Board conducted a follow-up study to determine whether and to what extent GAO has implemented its recommendations to develop a viable, agencywide equal employment opportunity program for persons with disabilities. The Board noted that GAO has: (1) made significant progress to ensure that disabled persons are afforded equal employment opportunities; (2) reevaluated the programmatic duties of all offices having responsibilities affecting the employment of disabled persons; and (3) issued an affirmative action plan that addresses recruitment, placement and advancement, accessibility to facilities, and training for supervisors and managers.
