[Civil Rights Commission Authority to Operate]

A Civil Rights Commission official requested a decision regarding whether the 1992 appropriation legislation which authorized funding for continued operation of the Commission suspended the planned termination of the Commission. GAO held that the 1992 appropriation legislation suspended the Commission's termination until reauthorization legislation extending the Commission's operation was enacted.
