Highlights

The Forest Service requested an advance decision concerning an employee's claim for reimbursement for the purchase of information cards for use in official business. GAO held that the Forest Service could not use appropriated funds for the purchase of: (1) the information cards, since they constituted business cards; and (2) any such cards, regardless of whether they identified employees by name. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
