Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of a decision concerning an improper Veterans Administration (VA) contract award for auctioneering services. GAO had held that, although VA awarded the contract, it was not appropriate to terminate the contract, since the contract period was about to expire. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that VA improperly failed to: (1) award it the contract based on its combined higher technical and price score; and (2) consider its incumbent cost advantage. GAO held that the protester merely reiterated its contentions and failed to show that the original decision was erroneous. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
