Highlights

The Department of Labor requested a decision concerning a transferred employee's claim for reimbursement for real estate expenses he incurred in purchasing a home at his new duty station. GAO held that the employee was not entitled to reimbursement, since settlement occurred 4 months after the 3-year limitation under the Federal Travel Regulations. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
