Highlights

A firm protested a Navy contract award for a boring mill, contending that the: (1) Navy improperly rejected its bid as technically unacceptable; and (2) awardee's equipment was not manufactured in the United States. GAO held that: (1) the Navy properly rejected the protester's bid as technically unacceptable, since the protester failed to provide certain required information after the Navy requested it; and (2) there was no prohibition against the procurement of equipment manufactured abroad. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
