[Comments on Proposal To Incorporate Cost Accounting Standards Into FAR]

GAO commented on proposed changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) that would incorporate certain standards and rules promulgated by the Cost Accounting Standards Board. GAO noted that: (1) the proposed changes omitted several important clauses; and (2) the changes should not be promulgated unless the Board were reestablished.
