Highlights

A firm protested an Air Force contract award for toolroom lathes, contending that the awardee: (1) failed to meet the solicitation requirements; (2) was not the manufacturer of the lathes; and (3) provided lathes that were not be domestic end products. GAO held that the protester failed to show that the awardee's product was not in compliance with the solicitation's specifications. GAO also held that the portions of the protest regarding the identity of the manufacturer of the lathes and the place of manufacture were untimely filed. Accordingly, the protest was denied in part and dismissed in part.
