Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of the dismissal of its protest under a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) solicitation. GAO dismissed the protest because the protester failed to provide DLA with a copy within 1 day after its filing with GAO. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that it had mistakenly filed a copy of the protest with a DLA representative at another area. Bid protest regulations require that a protester: (1) file a copy of its protest with the contracting agency within 1 day after filing with GAO; and (2) furnish a copy to the individual or location that the solicitation designates. Accordingly, the dismissal was affirmed.
