[Comments on Analysis of Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act]

In response to a congressional request, GAO provided an analysis of the impact of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 on the science agencies whose programs are authorized by the House Committee on Science and Technology. A report will be issued on January 21, 1986, which will describe the specific amount of the outlay reduction for each appropriation account which the act requires for fiscal year 1986 and the amount of the sequestration required to achieve that reduction.
