Highlights

A university requested GAO to consider a claim for tuition for two students in the Army Nursing Program during the 1974-1975 academic year. GAO found that the claim was barred by the statute of limitations which bars any claim that has not been received by the Comptroller General within 6 years of accrual. An exception to the statute of limitations which applies to States or agents of States did not apply in this case. Accordingly, the claim may not be paid.
