Highlights

The Comptroller General discussed four GAO reviews of matters concerning U.S. trade and what effect GAO recommendations have had on related public and private sector operations. The four reviews, which appeared in the GAO Review, Vol. 17, Issue 3, Summer 1982, dealt with taxation of Americans working overseas, effects of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, export control of commercial products with military applications, and Government efforts to defend U.S. commercial interests against foreign subsidies.
