[Request for Reconsideration]

A firm requested reconsideration of an earlier decision which dismissed as untimely a contract award protest under a solicitation issued by the Navy. Bid protest procedures require that a request for reconsideration be filed within 10 working days from the time a protester knows or should have known the basis for reconsideration. Although the protester indicated that its request for reconsideration was filed late because it sought advice before filing, the time period for filing is not tolled while a protester seeks advice from another party. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
