Supplemental Appropriation Request for Fiscal Year 1981

GAO presented a request for supplemental funds for fiscal year 1981 to cover salaries and benefits related to an authorized civilian pay raise. The pay raise provided for an overall increase of 9.1 percent. The net effect of these pay raises on total salaries and benefits of GAO was 8 percent. GAO will continue to monitor expenditures and should money become available will offer it up for absorption.
