Report Preparation & Processing Guide

A two-part guide prepared for quick and convenient reference to the reporting policies of GAO is presented. It was designed to supplement the GAO Report Manual, and should be used in conjuction with the GAO Checklist for Report Writers and Reviewers. Part I deals with report preparation, format, organization, and content. It illustrates the various parts of a report, highlighting major points to be considered in report preparation. Cross-references to the Report Manual are included. Part II deals with report processing procedures and forms. Step- by-step instructions on processing a report are given, and items to be included in the signature and review packages are illustrated.
