Highlights

A company requested a review of a contract awarded by the Missouri State Highway Commission for a grading, drainage, and structures project for a future divided highway. The project was partially funded through the participation of the Federal Highway Administration. The protester contended that the awardee was improperly permitted to correct its bid, thereby displacing the protester as the low bidder. The discrepancy in the awardee's bid appeared not to be the result of an error in extension of a unit price, but rather a clerical error in transcription. Where this discrepancy was corrected to correspond to the extended total price presented, award of the contract was not questioned.
