Protest against Correction of Bid Price Error

A company protested an agency decision to allow an upward correction of a bid by the apparent low bidder. The low bidder's unit price was clearly out of line with the Government's estimate and other bid prices and was obviously an error. Since the mistake was obvious on the face of the bid and the extended price was correct, the contracting officer did not exceed his authority by allowing correction of the unit price.
