Contract May Be Modified Where Bid Error Was Apparent

A company requested rescission of an item in its contract because of a bid error which was alleged after the award. The item may be rescinded because the contracting officer should have known that an error was probable where a price was out of line with other bids, and the officer neglected to verify the bid.
