An employee who was assigned to a 40-hour, 3-day workweek at a remote radar site claimed overtime compensation while staying at living quarters furnished by the agency for its employees because of the remote location. The employees were not required to remain at the site throughout their workweek, nor were they required to hold themselves in readiness to perform work outside of duty hours. The claim for overtime compensation was denied.
