An employee appealed the disallowance of his claim for reimbursement of mileage costs for travel by private automobile from his residence to his official duty station and return for the purpose of attending meetings after normal working hours. He may not be reimbursed since an employee must bear the cost of transportation between his residence and official station even when the cost is increased by overtime work. The agency should not authorize the use of a Government vehicle except in emergencies for personal transportation even in connection with overtime duties.
