Claim for Family Allowance Disallowed Because of Unavailability of Records

An Army member appealed the disallowance of his claim for a family allowance for a period from 1944 to 1946 incident to his military service. The disallowance was sustained because records relating to the claim were destroyed or unavailable because of the lapse of time, and there was no other documentation available to establish Government liability.
