A transferred employee claimed mileage involved in the shipment of his privately owned vehicle in connection with a change of duty station. The vehicle in question was of foreign manufacture and was not purchased overseas as a replacement vehicle. Since it was not in the Government's best interest for the vehicle to be shipped at Government expense, the mileage costs for delivery and picking up the vehicle were not allowed.
