A plaintiff in a wrongful death action against the United States in which a judgment was entered for the plaintiff questioned the correctness of a settlement action since the amount paid to her did not include interest on the judgment. Interest may not be paid on a district court judgment under the Federal Tort Claims Act which is not appealed by the United States according to a proviso of 31 U.S.C. 724a.
