Request for Remote Duty Station Allowance

A decision was requested on the propriety of paying an official station allowance to an employee who rented a room at a remote test site for use on a continuous basis. The employee can be reimbursed for the dates he commuted from his residence to the test site, but since his official duty station was at the test site, he can only be paid a single allowance for the round trip from his residence for each period of temporary residence.
