Default on Home Mortgage Loan Guaranteed by Veterans Administration

Reconsideration was requested of indebtedness arising out of a default and foreclosure of a home mortgage loan guaranteed by the Veterans Administration (VA). The claimant, as the original obligor on the mortgage, is liable for moneys paid by the VA as a result of default and foreclosure and is not eligible for retroactive waiver of liability under 38 U.S.C. 1817(b).
