Payment of Miscellaneous Expenses at "With Immediate Family" Rate

Richard C. Hirst, Acting Regional Commissioner, Chicago Region, U.S. Customs Service, requested a decision with regard to the payment of a claim for miscellaneous expenses at the "with immediate family" rate incident to an employee's transfer. The employee was entitled onl y to the miscellaneous expenses without family rate since she joined her husband at a residence previously established by him at the new duty station.
