Request for Modification of Contract Price

The contract awardee requested modification of the contract price due to an alleged error in the bid claimed after the award. The modification was not allowed since the contracting officer adequately discharged his bid verification duty and the bidder verified the bid. Relief was not granted since the error was not so gross as to suggest that the Government was "obviously getting something for nothing."
