Veterinary and Optometry Officers of the Uniformed Services

Three veterinary and optometry officers of the uniformed service questioned their basic pay and special pay entitlements. There is currently no statutory authority for the payment of special professional pay to Reserve veterinary and optometry officers of the uniformed service who entered on active duty after June 30, 1975; such officers were not entitled to special pay despite any administrative regulations or recruiters' promises to the contrary.
