The Department of General Services (DGS) of the District of Columbia acquires both marked and unmarked sedans for the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) at prices higher than those available for vehicles purchased through the General Services Administration (GSA). In addition, DGS purchases intermediate sedans instead of compacts.
