Protest to Award of Contract for Reduced Time Period

Award of a guard service contract for a 9-month period was protested, charging that the solicitation did not permit less than a 12-month performance period. Under provisions in the solicitation, a shorter time period was allowable. A prompt award which is determined to be advantageous to the Government is allowable prior to resolution of a protest.
