Reconsideration of Relocation Expenses

Transferred employee requested reconsideration of disallowed claim for moving expenses incident to permanent change of station. Employee may not be paid travel and transportation expenses as transfer was for his benefit or convenience. Legal rights re travel allowance cannot be changed retroactively. Even if employee was given erroneous advice as he claimed, the Government was not liable for actions of its employees. (DJM)
