Travel Expenses Incurred Due to Death in Employee's Family

The Director, Financial Management Division, U.S. Custom Service, requested an advance decision on an employee on temporary duty, who requested reimbursement for travel expenses to attend his father's funeral. There was no authorization for reimbursement for personal travel.
