An advance decision was requested regarding payment of a claim for travel and transportation allowances for a military member and his dependents incident to his retirement. Although the member advised that he had chosen Marco Island, Florida, as his home of selection and claimed he had purchased land on which he was having a home constructed, he was still residing in Delaware more than one year following termination of his active duty. The member may be reimbursed for the allowances authorized for himself and his dependents from his last duty station only to his present residence in Delaware.
