Reconsideration of Disallowance of Per Diem

An employee requested reconsideration of the disallowance of 1 day's per diem during a transfer of station. The employee may not receive the per diem for a rest stop even though his travel exceeded 24 hours since agency regulations preclude a rest stop if travel is by an indirect route. The employee may receive per diem for temporary duty at the new station until official notice of transfer is received.
