Highlights

Payment of per diem for two employees missing as a result of an aircraft accident was questioned. An employee who becomes missing while on temporary duty status for which he has been authorized per diem is not entitled to have per diem credited to his account under the Missing Persons Act. Claims for per diem for temporary duty travel presented on behalf of the missing men may not be paid.
