Awardee's Failure To Formally Acknowledge Receipt of Amendment

A company protested award of a contract, asserting that the awardee's bid should have been rejected as nonresponsive since the awardee failed to formally acknowledge receipt of an amendment to the solicitation. The awardee's submission of its bid on the proper date indicated that it was aware of the amendment extending the bid opening date; failure to formally acknowledge receipt may be waived as a minor informality. An allegation concerning a mistake in the bid of the awardee was untimely filed more than 10 days after notice of award. Bid verification because of the possible mistake was not required.
