Reimbursement of Real Estate Expenses Incident to Two Transfers

An advance decision was requested concerning reimbursement of an employee for real estate expenses incurred incident to two transfers. The employee who served in Argentina between two tours in the United States may not be reimbursed since statute and regulations require that both old and new duty stations be in the United States, its territories or possessions, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the Canal Zone.
