Reimbursement of Forfeited Real Estate Deposit

A decision was requested as to whether an employee could be reimbursed for a deposit on a residential lot which he forfeited incident to his transfer. Although the employee's brother later purchased the lot, the employee may be reimbursed the amount of the deposit as part of his miscellaneous expense allowance since the owner, not the employee, deeded the lot to the brother, and the employee received no money for the transfer of his interest.
