Highlights

An advance decision was requested regarding the claim of an employee for reimbursement of costs incurred for bringing an attorney from his old duty station to his new duty station to investigate the title to the home the employee was purchasing. The employee may only be reimbursed for that portion of the attorney's fee attributable to the preparation of the new contract of sale for the property. There is no authority for reimbursement of attorney's travel expenses or of attorney's charges for research and negotiation which are in the nature of charges for general advisory services.
