A decision was requested on the propriety of paying certain travel expenses incurred by the employee who traveled to his new duty station in advance of his family and then returned to his former station to drive two dependents to the new station. The employee may be reimbursed for mileage and tolls for the two dependents since they were entitled to travel at Government expense and for the cost of chartering an air ambulance to transport his hospitalized son to the new duty station.
