Claim for Temporary Quarters Allowance

Reconsideration was requested of the disallowance of an employee's claim for temporary quarters expense allowance incident to a transfer of station. The expenses claimed covered a period after the employee moved from a motel to a house which he bought but occupied on a rental basis prior to settlement. The fact that settlement was not made on the rented house until several weeks after he moved into it did not entitle the employee to a temporary quarters expense allowance since the record indicated that the employee intended to occupy the house permanently after he moved in.
